Ward of evil
Warding of Bad eye / evil eye / Drishti or Nazar is done through various mediums and tools.
One such wall hanger to prevent envy of a good looking house by its neighbours / passers-by.

Mobile Cleaning
The Hand drawn / pedaled vehicle used by the neighbourhood cleaning teams to carry all the waste and reach it to the Transfer Station of Chennai Corporation for the area. This gets to be moved further to the decomposing, burning, recycling or dumping yards of the city.

Krishna Jayanthi, Gokulashtami or Janmashtami
For some it was on Saturday and for some it was on Sunday, the Krishna Jayanthi aka Gokulashtami aka Krishna Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, the avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Some of the Indian flag streamers, buntings still present at public places post the Independence day celebrations on 15th Aug. I just hope these are removed before it starts falling on the streets and we don’t bring disgrace to the National symbol.
