God in snake

The belief in worshipping snake as a god prevails in Hinduism in this part of the world. “Nagaraja” the King of Snakes is predominantly worshipped using milk and egg at these temples.

  1. Fascinating beliefs and customs. Especially when compared to the Christian belief that the devil appeared as a snake to tempt Eve in the garden of paradise.

Very pretty flowers. Do you know what they are? They look similar to bougainvilla flowers to me.

Ram: Thanks for commenting Hilda. Hmm …. an interesting take on the beliefs, yes. These flowers are “Plumeria obtusa” (botanical name) called Arali here & commonly the Oleander.

  2. We have “unsnakeable” faith on snakes :)

    Ram: :)
