Telugu still around ….

… yes the older establishments still have Telugu (language) signs in their boards. Many establishments in the older settlements like Mylapore, Purasawalkam, Triplicane, Parry’s corner, T Nagar etc have quite a sizable population of Telugu speaking residents.

This is at Kala Pharmacy, Pantheon Road, Egmore.

  2. Are you sure that it is Telugu and they have not shown the different shapes of “Jaangiri or Jilebi” also being sold at the Pharmacy?

  3. many telugu people visit to chennai for treatment and carry dr: pruscription to the pharmacy , and some who don’t know tamil and english can identify the pharmacy and communicate easily

    Ram: Yes Karthik, could be … but Telugu was also, always prevalent in the erstwhile Madras Presidency …
