Route Maps

MTC (aka Metropolitan Transport Corporation) Buses has been replacing their fleet with new Buses (with amenities like Low Floor for ease of access, Easy Grips to Hold, Bus Route Maps etc.). Though such amenities are a mandatory & necessity nowadays, its just showing up in the recent fleet of buses.

    Good One!

    Route Maps displayed on the buses give a comfort feeling to the Newcomers to the city . It is not uncommon to see people asking ‘Could you please tell me once bus reaches the stop XYZ?’. It will be nice to have a City map which shows all the bus and electric train routes.

    Even though we have the Hop-on-Hop-off services now, I still think this kind of a bus is the best way to see – and experience – Chennai. And this one really travels a long way… another one would be the Tiruvanmiyur – Tiruvottiyur route…. have forgotten the route number, though… R1J?

    Good move. I agree with premkumar. I am one of those who uses this kind of info more often, even in local trains. It really gives a comfort feeling even if you don’t know the language.

    We should have it in all states and their local buses/trains.
