Save More
Some lovely melon shaped Piggy (!?) Banks seen on the streets … these made of clay / sand are to save coins and some occasional notes. Has only one way to take the money out, that is just break them to retrieve the money, no other way.

Telugu still around ….
… yes the older establishments still have Telugu (language) signs in their boards. Many establishments in the older settlements like Mylapore, Purasawalkam, Triplicane, Parry’s corner, T Nagar etc have quite a sizable population of Telugu speaking residents.

Ezhumalai, is a peanut / groundnut vendor in front of Vadapalani Murugan Temple. When he saw the picture about to be taken, he wore the dark glasses. He also said this is because he likes both Late MGR & the current CM wearing these kind of glasses.

… while its shining, yes this September in Chennai doesn’t seem to be raining and its shining / sunny bright. So this man decides to help his cattle with more hay stacks (on his moped though) transported.

Band Box
… is one of the oldest Dry Cleaners & Dyers in the city. The Silk Sarees, Chiffons, Ties etc are mandatory better of by dry cleaning them and not washing them in water.

The Government Central Press is now at Mint Street, Chennai 79. This is housed in the erstwhile Mint. The press caters to all state government departments and their notifications. Apart from this the State has Branch presses at Madras High Court, Madurai High Court, Vridhachalam, Pudhukottai, Madurai, Trichy & Salem towns.
