Was surprised when the Sathyam Cinemas started this eatery inside their premise, called ID (short form for Idly Dosa?). But the quality, pricing, and the ambiance has been so refreshing and good, i’ve been there several times.
A must check out for many foodies, especially the vegetarians. Check out the Kasi Halwa, Pongal or the [...]

Rusting

Most of the Tow vehicles in Chennai are the part of the Police (or in their Duty) only. Which are normally used to tow away the vehicles from No-Parking zones across the city. Predominantly this happens towards the month-ends & month startings, for obvious reasons.
Not many such vehicles ply for the Paid duties for the [...]

Hopon & Hopoff

Many must have seen the stops for the Hopon/Hopoff tours introduced by TTDC (Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation) here, this is the bus the tourism department uses for these tours.
Good idea to have used the one-way vision vinyls on the bus windows to seemlessly allow view from inside and nothing visible of inside from out. (similar [...]

I always suspect that the opposition and the marketing team of these “Special Days” work together to increase sales of their wares.
Me such a cynic nah!
Such was the case in the recent “V-Day” too …. in this case even some lingerie manufactures benefited in the bargain.
Scene @ Landmark store, Spencer’s.

Yesterday the Leather Industry in Chennai had their annual fashion show of their products. Ranging from apparels, shoes, accessories, bags and more.

Fleetmaster

Its a classic Chevrolet Fleetmasters, from the late 1940’s. These sedans were “fat tendered” cars suiting the then fashion / trend among car buyers.

Mylai Karpagambal mess

Lip smacking, yummy, delicious are some the adjectives that could be used for this eatery. Simple tables, a small cubbyhole area demarked for A/c diners land a larger area for Non – A/c plus amazing food is the concoction of this success formula.

Can you spot what this mini van carrying?
Yes the junked PCs, Monitors. Probably the 386’s, 486’s, P1’s et al. That makes one wonder how they dispose the eWaste’s from these junked electronic goods, and more critically how they do it without harming the nature, environment.
Or do these get ripped apart and sold partwise (salavagable one’s [...]
