The belief in worshipping snake as a god prevails in Hinduism in this part of the world. “Nagaraja” the King of Snakes is predominantly worshipped using milk and egg at these temples.

The Bell in Vengeeswarar Temple, which is about 32 years old. Still the ring is in one’s ears when they sound the bell during various pooja’s. Though now they have various automated bells introduced at temples along with the automated drums too, the sound from such bells are unique and have a character.
