The once tallest building in the city was LIC Building in Mount Road, now this Anna Salai Landmark is been pushed way below by many Residential Towers in the periphery of the city, was constructed between 1953-59.

LIC Building is about 177 feet (54 Metres) tall, for a brief period Arihant Majestic Towers (207 Ft or 63 Metres) was the tallest in the City. Now its the TVH Ouranya Bay all 6 towers are the tallest at (364 Ft or 111 Metres), followed by all the 6 towers at House of Hiranandani (at 341 Ft or 104 Metres) in Chennai.
