Who moved it from South America?

Bougainvillea are native plants of South America from Brazil to Perú and south to Argentina.
Spotted these plants at Shenoy Nagar, at an home around the Thiru Vi Ka Park.

  1. In Chennai mostly French or British. My bet is on the French; since they are believed to have brought it to Pondicherry, also they were one of the first to have brought it to Europe as well).
